Legodesk Selected for NSRCEL’s Velocity – Kotak BizLabs Incubation Program at IIM Bangalore
India’s pioneering legal-tech platform for debt recovery joins one of the country’s most prestigious startup incubation centres, backed by Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Legodesk (OSETTL Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), the leading legal-tech platform powering debt collection and recovery for India’s banks, NBFCs, fintechs, and ARCs, has been officially selected for the Velocity – Kotak BizLabs Incubation Program at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore ,one of India’s most respected startup incubation centres, recognised by NITI Aayog, DST, and MeitY.
The 12-month program, a flagship CSR initiative by Kotak Mahindra Bank delivered in collaboration with NSRCEL, is designed to support early revenue-stage ventures with structured mentorship, market access, and non-dilutive grant funding of up to ₹30 Lakhs for high-potential startups meeting the criteria.
A Legacy of Building India’s Best
NSRCEL (N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning) is IIM Bangalore’s flagship startup incubator, with over two decades of ecosystem building behind it. Having incubated 3,100+ ventures with a combined value exceeding $7.37 billion and creating over 35,000 jobs, NSRCEL’s alumni include ventures acquired by Qualcomm, Freshworks, and Brillio. Its corporate partners span Goldman Sachs, ICICI Securities, and Capgemini.
The Velocity – Kotak BizLabs program specifically targets startups working in fintech, deep-tech, sustainability, healthcare, and allied sectors. In its debut season, the programme attracted over 1,500 applications, engaged 500 founders through structured sessions, and awarded grants to 32 startups. Season 2, running from October 2025 to November 2026, aims to support 75+ startups across India.
Why Legodesk Was Selected
Legodesk occupies a unique position in India’s financial infrastructure: it bridges the gap between collections and legal enforcement, the exact point where most recovery processes break down. While the industry has seen growth in collections software and standalone legal-ops tools, Legodesk is the only platform that integrates both into a single, end-to-end workflow for lenders.
The platform handles legal notices, India Post integration, suit filing, SARFAESI applications, Lok Adalat proceedings, and court case management, supported by a network of 1,000+ partner advocates across India. Its proven revenue model, healthy margins, and active development of AI-powered debt negotiation capabilities made it a strong fit for the program’s focus on fintech and financial services innovation.
What the Leadership Says
“Debt recovery in India is at an inflection point. Credit is being disbursed faster than ever, but the recovery infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. Legodesk was built to close that gap, and being selected for NSRCEL’s Velocity – Kotak BizLabs program validates that this is exactly the kind of problem India’s innovation ecosystem needs to solve. The access to IIM Bangalore’s mentorship network, Kotak’s financial services ecosystem, and a curated cohort of high-potential founders gives us the launchpad to scale what we’ve built from a proven product into a category-defining platform.”
— Ashish Kumar Padhy, Co-Founder & CEO, Legodesk
“From a technology standpoint, this incubation comes at the perfect time. We’re actively building AI-powered negotiation and automation capabilities that sit on top of our core legal workflow engine. NSRCEL’s structured growth program and access to IIM Bangalore’s academic expertise will accelerate our R&D roadmap significantly. The non-dilutive nature of the grant means we can invest in deepening our tech moat without compromising equity at this critical stage.”
— Mohan Kumar Bai, Co-Founder & CTO, Legodesk
“Our clients, from large banks to emerging digital lenders, will be the real beneficiaries of this partnership. The IIM Bangalore association adds a layer of institutional trust that matters deeply in the BFSI sector. More importantly, the Kotak Mahindra connect opens doors to pilot projects and partnerships within one of India’s leading banking ecosystems. For our partner advocates and the institutions we serve, this is a signal that Legodesk is building for the long term.”
— Ravi Jaiswal, Co-Founder & CRO, Legodesk
What This Means for Legodesk
The selection carries both strategic and symbolic significance for Legodesk’s next chapter of growth:
IIM Bangalore Brand Association: The “NSRCEL – IIM Bangalore Incubatee” credential adds institutional credibility with enterprise BFSI clients, investors, and channel partners. In an industry where trust determines vendor selection, this association carries weight.
Kotak Mahindra Ecosystem Access: Direct access to Kotak’s banking and lending ecosystem opens the door to potential pilot projects, strategic partnerships, and introductions within their recovery verticals.
Non-Dilutive Grant Funding: The program includes grant support with no equity dilution, providing additional runway for product development and market expansion, particularly valuable for a bootstrapped company focused on sustainable growth.
12-Month Structured Mentorship: Access to IIMB faculty, industry mentors, and a dedicated program point of contact throughout 2026, combined with a curated peer cohort of high-potential startups for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Investor Network: NSRCEL’s established investor network and the credibility signal of incubation significantly strengthen Legodesk’s fundraising positioning as it prepares for its next phase of institutional growth.
The Bigger Picture: Why This Matters for India’s Recovery Ecosystem
India’s credit ecosystem has undergone rapid transformation. Digital lending has democratised access to credit, and loan disbursements have surged. But the recovery infrastructure, the legal frameworks, the operational workflows, the technology layer connecting collections teams to courts, hasn’t scaled at the same pace.
This gap is precisely what Legodesk addresses. By digitising the collections-to-legal pipeline and automating everything from demand notices to SARFAESI applications, the platform helps financial institutions recover more, faster, and with better compliance. The NSRCEL incubation provides the institutional backing and strategic resources to take this mission from serving individual institutions to reshaping how India recovers.
