It was established in 2008 and offers both undergraduate and graduate courses. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019 NLU, Delhi is regarded as one of the topmost law colleges in India.[3]
3. NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad
Third on our list stand the NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad. It was set-up in 1999 and is affiliated to the Bar Council of India. Aspirants who want to seek admission in NALSAR should qualify the CLAT which is held yearly to admit students to respective NLU’s.
It is one of the best NLU that offer almost 100% placement and good salary packages. Most reputed companies of the nation like Tata Group is one of the mass recruiters.
4. West Bengal National University Of Judicial Sciences, Kolkata
It is one of the most autonomous law school affiliated with the Bar Council of India. WB National University Of Judicial Sciences, Kolkata was established in 1999 and offered both graduate and undergraduate course. Like all the other NLS’s admission to WB National University of Judicial Science, Kolkata is also done through CLAT. It is one of the best pedagogic systems among all the other NLUs. The placement is 90% with all the students able to obtain a decent job.
5. Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi
Established in 1924 and approved by Bar Council Of India the Faculty of Law, University Of Delhi, Delhi is one of the most reputed institutions that offer law course. Although it does not provide a five-year B.A. LL.B. course. The faculty of law is affiliated by the Delhi University. The admission is done through a DU LL.B. Entrance exam conducted every year. This institution of law is one of the law institutions that charge the lowest fees of that is approximately Rs. 7500 per annum.[4]
6. National Law Institute University, Bhopal
It was established in 1997 and is the third National Law University to be set-up in India. NLU, Bhopal offers B.A. LL.B. five-year integrated course and runs on a trimester basis. The intake of the five-year course is 100. Apart from this the University also offers LL.M. courses and PhD course. The placement done by the institution is also decent.
7.Symbiosis Society’s Law College, Pune
Symbiosis Society’s Law College is one of the most reputed private law institutions. It ranks first when we talk about the top private law colleges in India. The college provides excellent legal guidance and offers students a wide range of internships for their development. 8. Government Law College, Mumbai
Government Law College was established in 1855, which makes it the oldest law university to be set-up in India. Therefore, the college holds great significance and imparts wide knowledge. The college offers undergraduate law degree, graduate courses, postgraduate courses and some of the diploma course. The fees charged by the institution is as low as nearly Rs. 7000.
